We are part of the Diocese of Oxford which covers the three counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. The Diocese is divided into three Archdeaconries, coinciding (more or less) with the counties. Each Archdeaconry is divided into Deaneries - we are part of the Bradfield Deanery, and this covers the area: East/West - Purley to Wasing; North/South - Aldworth to Mortimer. In the Bradfield Deanery there are 23 parishes, but some of these are grouped together - eg. Pangbourne, Sulham and Tidmarsh. At the moment we have ten full-time clergy, and others who do not receive pay for their work, but who give their time for parish activities. In addition to the clergy, there are a number of Licensed Lay Ministers who also assist in the parishes.
Where are we?
St Mary's is situated at the end of St Mary's Avenue, beside Purley Marina.
