As a church we have an on-going deep concern for our Christian brothers and sisters in many parts of the world who are persecuted for their allegiance to Jesus Christ. We express that concern by our support - prayerful and financial for the ministry of The Barnabas Fund. Christians who live in mainly Muslim countries are often under pressure, threats and open opposition. Their lives are in danger and many have been imprisoned, injured and even killed. News of their plight does not often reach the news media. Muslims who live in the country enjoy freedom of worship and the same protection of the law as anyone else. But Christians who live in many parts of the world have no such freedom to meet with other Christians. The Barnabas Fund exists to provide support for these people - by way of finance, work projects and in other practical ways.
